A BRIEF HISTORY OF SILVER
Sterling silver is an alloy made from 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloy, such as zinc, copper or nickel. It requires the mixture of other metals because naturally pure silver is soft. By adding other metals to the silver it increases the hardness, therefore making it more durable.

The result of this process produces that signature bright, shiny and metallic silver colour. For silver to be classified as Sterling silver it must have a 92.5 (925) purity rating. 925 graded silver is hypoallergenic, high quality and safe.
